Avant-projet de 1976, commandité par l'Union de Banques Suisses (SGB UBS), pour un bâtiment sur la Sebastianplatz de Brigue destiné au siège régional de l'agence, sur le site de l'ancien Hôtel Couronne.
Un projet initial du bureau H. Besmer avait été développé dans l'exigence d'une conservation partielle du bâtiment, au détriment des aménagements intérieurs et de la structure du bâtiment. Par la suite l'UBS decide de confier un avant-projet à un numéro limité d'architectes, sans obligation de conserver le volume d'origine du bâtiment.
