Après l'abandon du projet de collège, Jeanne Bueche est mandatée pour surélever l'ancien bâtiment des pères, qui perdra ainsi son cachet rustique. La nouvelle charpente est constituée de fermes industrialisées en bois sans appuis intermédiaires et permet l'aménagement de dortoirs.
