Futurisme, puis peinture figurative. Fait partie du groupe I sei di Torino (1929) avec Boswell, Galante, Chessa, Levi et Menzio. Habite à Rapallo pendant la deuxième guerre Mondiale. Nommé en 1941 prof. à l'Académie Albertina (Turin), qu'il dirige en collab. avec Casorati dès 1954, et préside dès 1973.Peintre (Italie).
