Les Archives de la construction moderne ont été fondées en 1988 au sein de l’Institut de théorie et d’histoire de l’architecture de l’EPFL. Elles sont aujourd’hui rattachées à la Faculté de l’environnement naturel, architectural et construit (ENAC). Leur mission est de soutenir l’étude et la compréhension des transformations du cadre bâti en Suisse.
En complément des fonds d’archives, l’institution constitue et conserve des collections documentaires rassemblées selon des logiques thématiques, typologiques ou éditoriales, en lien avec les domaines de l’architecture, de la construction et de l’urbanisme.
